With a very small town feel, Colfax is a great place for someone who wants the privacy of living in the country without being too far from the local grocery store. With old fashioned store fronts and even a movie rental store this town really brings you back to a more carefree time.
With the train station directly in the center of town a rich history of importing and exporting goods as well as Gold is remembered by the community. This area has all of the amenities to keep you out of the city and close to home.

With a few small shops and restaurants, this is a cute place to go for a romantic dinner date or have pizza after your baseball game. One of the town’s favorite places to enjoy is Buzz Through Joe’s drive through coffee shop and the local Farmer’s Market which is a perfect example of this small town working to support their local businesses!
Entertainment
With live music in the park and booths all around this town really knows how to entertain themselves with several parades and celebrations throughout the year. Whether the town has gathered at the park for the little league game or around the railroad tracks to watch the fireworks in July, this small town gets together regularly as a community to support each other. Children’s dance classes are offered at the old movie theater as well as story time at the library making Colfax a great family destination.

Only minutes from the freeway Colfax is located off I-80 about half way between Sacramento and Reno, and also has a beautiful new train station for long distance travel.
